Before Committing to Fashion Colours

  1. We need to get you to a clean, even blonde before we start

For best results when using fashion colours, your hair must be lightened to at least a level of 7 prior to application.
The steps to achieve this will be outlined within your Quote and Maintenance Plan

  1. This initial lightening process may take all day

Results vary from person to person depending on your colour history, hair density and length.
Darker or damaged hair with a build-up of supermarket products will take longer to achieve the desired results.
Depending on the condition of your hair prior to service, there maybe additional costs if measures need to be taken to protect the inner structure of the hair during the process. This will be included within your Quote and Maintenance Plan.

  1. You will need more than one session…

…Especially if you’ve got darker or damaged hair.
A second application of the fashion colour after 2-3 weeks will be included within your Quote and Maintenance Plan.

  1. These colours fade quickly…

…Especially pastel tones. Pastels in nature are lighter versions of the vivid tone colours, so the lighter the colour is to start with, the quicker it’s going to fade. Pastels can start to fade as soon as the first shampoo. We may recommend that we start with a colour that’s darker, with a goal to get a few extra weeks out of your colour.
This will be discussed during your consultation.

  1. There’s a lot of maintenance involved

Your stylist will explain the process you will be undertaking and will also recommend the products that you need to take care of your colour at home. This will be included in your Quote and Maintenance Plan. Dry Shampoo will be your new best friend to avoid excessive shampooing. You will also want to avoid hot water and heat tools.

  1. It’s not for everyone

If we deem your hair not in optimal condition, we may need to postpone your appointment to a later date to ensure the absolute best result possible
